Ten minutes on the day you sign up saves an hour later. Work down the list once; nothing here needs repeating.
Before
- Sign in with the address you want notices sent to.
- Check the company name and address under My Account - they print on every invoice.
During
- Turn on two-factor authentication under Security Settings.
- Add a payment method and set it as default.
- Add a second contact who should receive invoices or tickets, with only the permissions they need.
- Choose your email preferences: which notices go to which contact.
After
- Open your first invoice and confirm the details are right.
- Bookmark the client area and the knowledgebase.
- Send a test ticket if you want to see how replies arrive.
Before you continue
Save the two-factor backup code somewhere safe when you switch it on. Without it, losing your phone means a support ticket and an identity check.
Result
Invoices reach the right people, payments happen on their own, and the account is protected by more than a password.
