Monthly keeps you flexible, annual saves the most, quarterly sits in between. Here is what each means in practice.
At a glance
| Monthly | Quarterly | Annual | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Trying a service | Steady use, smaller invoices | Services you will keep |
| Invoices per year | 12 | 4 | 1 |
| Discount | no | yes | yes |
| Change plan mid-cycle | yes | yes | yes |
| Cancel any time | yes | yes | yes |
| Refund on cancellation | no | Remaining months as credit | Remaining months as credit |
Our recommendation
Start monthly if you are unsure. Once a service has earned its keep, switch to annual from the service page - the change applies at the next due date and the discount with it.
Note
Changing the cycle never restarts the service or changes what it includes; only the invoice dates and the price per month move.
